This "FiberWizards Essentials" course includes online prep courseware and a "2-day" on-site immersive experience.

This course is also recommended for field personnel seeking professional development with a deeper dive on theoretical elements, enhance practical skills, and certification in fiber optics.

For field oriented personnel seeking to gain more practical edge, develop advanced skills, and gain certification, we recommend the "FiberWizards Edge" course option.

Completion of the full course, including self and instructor led activities, as well as hands-on labs will qualify learners for taking the test for the Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) credential, by the Fiber Optic Association Inc. (FOA).

4-week delivered online courseware includes: Interactive and gamified content, readings and quizzes, test simulations, 4 instructor-led touchpoints, remote support and access through a FiberWizards Discord server.

Online Phase: Approx. 4-6 Hours Per Week

2-day skills lab on-site includes: Fiber safety, cable prep and installation best practices, termination, hardware installation, closure prep, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.

Customers opting for this package are responsible for supplying their own tools, splicing/testing equipment, connectivity items, and consumables for the hands-on labs, in accordance with course requirements, as well as classroom and facilities for onsite training, according to group size.

This option is ideal for customers seeking a partially customized hands-on training experience focused on their preferred network connectivity items, as well as reducing some of the training costs by using their own materials and consumables, only paying for the instructor, courseware, suitcase lab rentals, and FOA certification fees.

With this option, participants will receive access to all online coursework, a personalized Learning Management System (LMS) dashboard for supervisors or managers to monitor participants' progress, instructor-led virtual touchpoints, and on-site instructor training delivery with fully furnished suitcase labs, including tools, splicing, and testing equipment for guided hands-on exercises, followed by remote mentoring after completion of the training.
